I joined a multidisciplinary team at George Brown College to design a prototype of a heart-monitoring vest. The team worked in partnership with Ocorant Inc., an innovative Canadian company committed to improving healthcare through new technologies. Occorant developed a heart-monitoring device that drastically improves upon current FDA-approved heart monitors.

As a designer and research assistant I used interaction-design principles to create solutions to integrate electronics safely and comfortably into the garment, to allow long-term usage of the garment without the aid of a nurse, and created multiple prototypes to address these challenges.

Shown here are examples of early prototypes. Samples of these protoypes and their design processes were presented at the Ontario College of Art and Design's professional gallery in the exhibit Fashion Forward in 2009.
