Magical AL-1000 Harmony Bank

Magical AL-1000 Harmony Bank is an interactive performance piece which will open in the Spring of 2005 at Ryerson University. Through an audience oriented, command based performance where the user is able to control the output of the artist in real time, Amy Learmonth explores the tension between database technology and intimate human expression. Amy will perform original music and poetry that correspond to the transmitted commands of her audience via an electronic interface. However, unlike conventional concerts, Amy will represent the machine and allow the audience to arrange, remix and determine the course of her performance.
