PLAYLIST DISCRIMINATION '
Current Data submitted
by user March 17th, 2005 to MusicMusique Portal Forum:
The emmergence of
a new discrimination based on a person's choice of music.
First heard of this on the radio, Toronto - 102.1 - aprox. November 2004.
They were talking about how university students whose computers were networked
in dorms were able to see each others playlists on their computers....and
well liked/disliked ppl more b/c of it. wow.
It definitly though, shows how deeply your choice of music can reveal
things about yourself to other ppl...whether you like it or not. And maybe
this goes along with how music is subjective to each person - maybe i
dislike you more because i don't connect iwth your music...but maybe i
just don't understand how you interpret that.
In any case - i'm "proposing" a definition for playlist discrimination
in his section.
